On 08/09/2021, WESET partners in Egypt held a successfully conference in Cairo.
Discussions about the main outcomes of this 4 years of WESET were shared with the Wind Energy sector in the country as well as there was time to identify possibilities of further cooperation and establish new connections beyond WESET timeline.

]]>The National Engineering School of Carthage, ENICarthage, and the Smart Electricity and ICT Research Laboratory, SI&ICT Lab. organized in collaboration with the National Agency for Energy Management, ANME, the Tunisian Society of Electricity and Gas, STEG and the Association of Electrical Sciences and Technologies, ASTE, as part of the ERASMUS + KA2 Project “Wind Engineering Skills in Egypt and Tunisia, WESET” the second day on Wind energy in Tunisia as the Final conference of this project on Monday July 05, 2021. This day was organized in webinar format with the main session ” Inventory of Wind Energy in Tunisia”, followed by a Round Table on “Strategic issues of Wind Energy in Tunisia, challenges and opportunities ” with a focus on the sustainability of the results of the WESET project and a special session on” Research activities of the Smart Electricity & ICT Laboratory on Wind Energy” where PhD and Master students presented their research work about this topic.

The new master modules in wind energy engineering at ENI-Sfax Tunisia will be discussed, and the new Wind Energy Center, with the equipment’s acquired within the framework of the WESET project, will be presented.

The aim of the webinars is to exchange relevant best practices, information and lessons learned and advance regional initiatives on the integration of renewables energies in the main sectors of the region’s economies in the context of an inclusive and sustainable energy transitions.
